Lucy Cavendish College is the fastest growing and most diverse college in Cambridge, and it’s committed to widening participation and to providing equality of educational opportunity for all its students.

Named in honour of Lucy Cavendish, pioneer of women’s education, the College was founded in 1965 to give mature women the opportunity to study at the University of Cambridge, at a time when they were severely under-represented in the University. Today, its mission is to attract, support and unlock the potential of students of all ages and genders from non-traditional and underrepresented backgrounds, who are driven by a desire to make a difference, and who are committed to having a positive and lasting impact on society.
