Join host Alex Clark for the highs and lows of love, loss and life with two of our finest contemporary novelists. Award-winning novelist Diana Evans, who first appeared at the festival in 2007 with her debut, discusses her latest, A House for Alice. Completing our tea-time trio is Rachel Joyce, ahead of the release of a major film based on her book The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, for which she also wrote the screenplay, and which stars Jim Broadbent and Penelope Wilton. Rachel will also be talking about the final novel in the Harold Fry trilogy, Maureen Fry and the Angel of the North.
The signature University Arms Afternoon Tea is included in the ticket price and offers a delicious selection of savouries & sweets. The event will take place in the Ballroom at the University Arms.
Tables will be arranged in groups of 10, with seats allocated. There will be a seat plan upon arrival.
