24/05/2025 - 24/05/2025
We’re excited to announce the Cambridge Fringe Festival is back for 2025, with over 100 comedy acts performing across the second May Bank Holiday weekend (24th & 25th May) at four great venues in the city.
This year’s line-up features a host of TV regulars, festival favourites and exciting newcomers destined to be the next big thing. There will be something for everyone, with a diverse range of acts covering stand-up, sketch, clowning, musical comedy, improv and kids shows.

We also recognise the importance of supporting emerging local talent, with several shows and local showcases reserved for up-and-coming Cambridgeshire-based comedians to reach a comedy-loving audience.
And the best bit? The Cambridge Fringe runs on a pay-what–you-want (PWYW) model where you can guarantee a seat for just £5.50. For those shows that are not sold out in advance, you can just turn up and provide a donation on the way out. All money goes straight to the acts.
Shows take place at The Portland Arms, Thirsty, The Boathouse and The Waterman, all of which are within a two-minute walk of each other in the heart of Cambridge. The first show on both Saturday and Sunday starts at noon, with performances going on until 11pm.
We also invite local comedy lovers to join in the fun and volunteer.
Highlights on the line-up include:
- Jordan Brookes (Edinburgh Comedy Award best show winner)
- Ria Lina (QI, Have I Got News For You, Live At The Apollo)
- Nick Helm (BBC’s Uncle, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee)
- Sikisa (Live at the Apollo)
- Helen Bauer (Edinburgh Fringe best newcomer nominee, co-host of Trusty Hogs)
- Spencer Jones (Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, Ted Lasso)
- Glenn Moore (Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, Mock the Week)
- Ania Magliano (Edinburgh Fringe best show nominee)
- Toussaint Douglass (Outsiders, Mel Giedroyc’s Unforgivable)
Background
The Cambridge Fringe Festival is run on a not-for-profit basis by a small team based in Cambridgeshire. All the organisers have day jobs (including on the frontline of the NHS) but are all passionate about comedy, with experience putting on shows in Cambridge and London. The first Cambridge Fringe Festival took place in 2018 and has gone from strength to strength each year since (well, apart from those two lockdown years, but that’s not on us). This year is the sixth edition of the festival.
