Saturday 25th March, 10am - 3pm and Saturday 29th April, 10am - 3pm. Visitor Centre of David Parr House, £95.

Take part in a day workshop with celebrated London-based textile artist, Richard McVetis to explore the potential of stitching as a method of mark-making, using stitch, process, and materials to express yourself.

Beginning with a walk-through of David Parr House, you will then be guided by Richard through creating texture and pattern with different threads. Richard will demonstrate how to use simple hand embroidery techniques to experiment with scale, spacing, and stitch. As good ideas need well and nourished minds, this workshop inspires mindfulness and creativity with moments to pause, think, and re-energise.

These workshops can be taken in sequence or separately. These longer, more focused days allow a deeper understanding of each stitch through experimentation and play.

For all levels of hand embroiderers.

*The price of your workshop includes all materials and equipment for the day, a visit to David Parr House, and light refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch.

All money raised from workshops goes towards maintaining David Parr House and supports our programmes.
