Our fully bespoke dining experiences is one of the most alluring draws of a University Arms graduation event. Menus feature the best of British cuisine, cooked with flair using the finest local produce.
For your graduation celebration, we offer a range of options to make your day truly unforgettable. You can indulge in a private dining experience with a specially designed menu by Parker’s Tavern, crafted from the finest seasonal ingredients. Or, celebrate in style with a drinks reception, where you and your guests can enjoy champagne or signature cocktails in our elegant spaces. Choose between a classic afternoon tea or a lavish banquet, each tailored to suit the unique style of your celebration. For larger gatherings, we also offer exclusive use of our event spaces, providing a private, sophisticated setting to ensure your day is as extraordinary as your achievements.
For larger graduation celebrations, few halls in Cambridge can compete with the grandeur, elegance and history of the University Arms Ballroom - a wood-panelled room that belongs to our city's heritage. Natural light spills in through huge stained-glass windows decorated with college crests, with views looking out over the city’s iconic Parker’s Piece. Summer or winter, the Ballroom is the perfect space for large events, accommodating up to 180 seated guests or 200 standing.
For more intimate graduation celebrations, The Ballroom includes a solid oak partitioning wall which divides the Ballroom into our Crick and Watson rooms, named after James Watson and Francis Crick who made the groundbreaking discovery, the structure of DNA, 'the secret to life' here in Cambridge in 1953. The sense of elegance without pomposity, of intimacy over corporate formality, is unusual for Cambridge. Accommodates events for up to 90 people.
Similarly, once The Ballroom has been divided, The Watson is suitable for more private events, accommodating up to 70 guests.
Going so soon? Why not stay a little longer and enjoy our exclusive room rates and a variety of accommodation options.
