Begin the evening with a sparkling reception, where you’ll be welcomed with bubbles and handcrafted canapés before moving into Parker’s Tavern for an indulgent five-course dinner, specially curated for the occasion. As the clock ticks closer to midnight, the party comes alive back in the Ballroom with live music, bringing the energy and keeping the dance floor full all night long. Toast to new beginnings at midnight with fellow guests and keep the celebrations going as you dance into the early hours. Following the celebrations, retire to the comfort of your bedroom for a restful night’s sleep. On New Year’s Day, unwind with our fabulous breakfast at Parker’s Tavern and enjoy a 4 pm late checkout, allowing you to start the year in comfort and at your own pace. Over 18s only.

Welcome the New Year in the heart of Cambridge at University Arms. Our New Year’s Eve celebrations bring together a sparkling reception, dinner at Parker’s Tavern, live music and a party in the Ballroom, before the all-important toast at midnight. Stay the night or simply join us for the evening – either way, we’ll make sure the year ends on a high.

2. Do I need to stay at University Arms to attend the New Year’s Eve party?

Not at all. If you’d prefer to join us just for the evening, our Dinner & Party Only package includes welcome drinks, a gala dinner at Parker’s Tavern and the Ballroom party. When the celebrations draw to a close, you can simply head home – although we won’t blame you for wishing you had a room waiting upstairs.

3. What is included in the New Year’s Eve hotel package?

Our New Year’s Gala Package has everything required to see out the old year in style. Begin with bubbles and canapés before an indulgent five-course dinner at Parker’s Tavern, then return to the Ballroom for live music, dancing and a midnight toast. After a night’s rest, start New Year’s Day with breakfast and enjoy a leisurely 4pm late checkout.

4. Is the New Year’s Eve celebration at University Arms adults only?

Yes. Our New Year’s Gala Package is an over-18s celebration, made for an evening of fine food, bubbles, live music and dancing into the early hours. It’s an excuse to dress up, raise a glass and begin the New Year in suitably celebratory fashion.

5. Can I book a New Year’s Eve hotel break in Cambridge?

Absolutely. Make a night of it with our New Year’s Gala Package, combining an overnight stay at University Arms with our New Year’s Eve celebrations. After dinner, live music and dancing in the Ballroom, your bedroom is only a short stroll away. The following morning, enjoy breakfast at Parker’s Tavern and a 4pm late checkout – a rather civilised way to begin the New Year.
