One of the best ways to explore Cambridge is by river as many of the city's iconic sites line the banks of the river Cam. The central section known as The Backs is particularly spectacular, with several of the university colleges' private gardens stretching down to the water's edge.
Many visitors take to the river on a self-hire or guided punting tour. But the latest way to see the famous sights of Cambridge is by stand up paddleboard. SUP Cambridge runs bespoke guided tours of Cambridge by paddleboard for individuals and small groups. Sessions last around 90 minutes and all equipment is provided. Tours run at weekends and evenings in spring and summer, and no experience is necessary.
