Join us in our library at 6pm on Wednesday 8th March, where we will be welcoming gemologist and jeweller, Alexandra Robson.
Learn about exquisite sapphires and emeralds with Alexandra Robson who will be sharing her gem expertise with us. She will be talking about sapphires, how to assess them and value them, and will compare them with other blue gemstones - tanzanites, aquamarines and topaz. Then she will move onto the green stones, focusing on emeralds, but also comparing them to the other green stones such as tourmaline and peridot.
Alexandra Morris Robson founded Augustine Jewels 10 years ago. In her youth, she attended Esmod School of Design in Paris and then studied History at Cambridge University. Following Cambridge, she pursued a long career with Accenture,becoming a Partner there and later heading up the CRM practice for Retail and Brands. After a career break for her children, she went back to her first love and started designing exquisite hand-drawn jewellery pieces and sourcing extraordinary gemstones.
Since then Augustine Jewels has gone from strength to strength. They produce 2 ready to wear collections a year and around 100 bespoke pieces. They have their flagship store at 75 Ledbury Road, Notting Hill, London W11 2AG. Augustine Jewels was shortlisted for Designer of the Year in 2022 and has a strong following amongst celebrities and royals alike.
