'The Art of Place Making'

Join us in our library at 7pm on Wednesday 25th May, when guests can meet author Andy Pringle, who will be discussing place making.

Andy Pringle is an Associate Landscape Architect & designer at LUC in London. Since graduating from Edinburgh College of Art, Andy has been at the forefront of landscape design, working on multiple projects in various locations across the UK, Europe & Australia. Andy has been involved in a range of project typologies working over multiple scales, from the urban regeneration of Kings Cross to more recently the part restoration of Wimbledon Park for the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

Place making is at the heart of landscape architecture, but what are the components that make successful places? Do we have predetermined views on how we use and behave in spaces, or can spaces themselves inform our behaviour? Join us for a reflective discussion around place making with Andy using some of his previous project experience to inform debate.
