A Conversation with Saffron Grange

Join us in our library at 7pm, Wednesday 27th July when guests can meet Paul Edwards, owner of local vineyard, Saffron Grange.

Saffron Grange is one of East Anglia’s best kept secrets. A family-run vineyard nestled on the gentle sloping chalk hills just outside of Saffron Walden, it produces delicious, premium quality English Sparkling Wines. Since opening in 2019 it has been quietly racking up the awards. Saffron Grange is passionate about protecting and enhancing the natural habitat and environment and is committed to using minimal intervention methods in the vineyard to allow the local wildlife to thrive.

All Saffron Grange’s sparkling wines are produced using what is called ‘the traditional method’ – also popularly known as the ‘Champagne method’. This method of winemaking creates wines with a greater complexity of flavours whilst still retaining it’s fruit-driven characteristics. The vineyard has three distinctly impressive sparkling wines - the Classic Cuvée, the Seyval Blanc Reserve and a Sparkling Rosé.
