Our picture of the week is presented by Nicolas Holloway Fine Art and celebrates the work of artist Sir Ernest Albert Waterlow, who's work will be showcased as part of our East Anglian summer art pop up - In the Frame.

Born in London, Waterlow was educated in the Royal Academy schools, where, in 1873, he gained the Turner medal for landscape-painting.

The painting above is an expansive view of pastureland before the church of St Andrew's, Walberswick. The scene was painted at the end of the 19th Century, before the village grew in size from the Edwardian period onwards.
