Watersprite Film Festival returns Friday 4th - Sunday 6th March!

Watersprite is the UK’s largest student film festival, screening the best student-made short films from around the world, alongside masterclasses and panel discussions with inspiring, exciting film talent.

A few highlights from this jam-packed weekend include:

  • Opening Keynote with the astounding Kate Herron, director of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Loki and Sex Education.
  • Ethicsof Documentary Making with the team behind the upcoming BBC documentary Two Daughters featuring Stacey Dooley andEmeritus Archdeacon Mina Smallman.
  • Theo Green on Sound Design and Music Composition, sound designer of Dune and Blade Runner 2049.
  • Intimacy Direction with the UK’s leading Intimacy Coordinator, Ita O’Brien (Normal People, I May Destroy You, It’s a Sin).
  • Closing Ceremony with 2021 BAFTA Breakthrough UK Participants.

All events will be in person at the Old Divinity School, St Johns College Cambridge, as well as available to view online.

Alongside the events programme, Watersprite is screening 40 incredible short films across drama, animation, documentary and experimental at the Arts Picturehouse Cambridge. These short films represent the most exciting emerging voices in film from all corners of the globe.
