This Autumn, visitors to Anglesey Abbey in Lode, near Cambridge, can re-discover the timeless world of Winnie-the-Pooh in a family-friendly story trail and exhibition inspired by A.A. Milne’s charming stories and E.H. Shepard’s classic illustrations.

Created in collaboration with HarperCollins to celebrate the beloved bear’s 100th anniversary, the immersive story trail is perfect for young children, grandparents and everyone in between.

In the house, visitors can step into the Hundred Acre Wood and uncover the story behind how Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet and friends came into being.

Visitors can take a closer look at the original books and E.H. Shepard’s artwork and learn about some of the real-life stories that inspired the tales. The exhibition combines extracts from some of the much-loved bear’s most memorable adventures with playful interactive elements to bring Winnie-the-Pooh’s world to life.

The trail weaves together A.A. Milne’s classic stories, E.H. Shepard’s enchanting illustrations and fun activities in an outdoor adventure the whole family will love. Little explorers can wander along Anglesey Abbey’s woodland paths and delight in spotting Pooh with his trusty honeypot, pause at the Poohsticks Bridge to dream up their own game of Poohsticks or challenge their family to bounce as high as Tigger.

To mark the 100th anniversary, HarperCollins have published beautiful new editions of the four A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard classic story and poetry collections and the authorised prequel and sequels, are available from the Anglesey Abbey shop.

The story trail and exhibition are now open. Entry is included in normal admission to Anglesey Abbey and is free for National Trust Members.
