Vegan steak tartare from Parker’s Tavern

Parker’s Tavern, inside the recently renovated University Arms Hotel, provides delicious and unpretentious British cooking.

The tavern opened in 1834 as a popular stop for coaching passengers and today combines its history with innovative techniques to serve up a modern twist on traditional British tastes.

Some of their top dishes include crispy fried pork chop, honey and thyme slow roasted duck, or a salt baked beetroot hache (a vegan take on steak tartare) which includes a vegan “egg” made of cashews, yellow pepper, and a horseradish cream.

One diner said on TripAdvisor: “It’s great to see such thought going into a vegan dish.”

We also recommend you try one of their Cambridge themed delightfully creative cocktails.
