Cambridge Scene:

Cambridge has the edge when it comes to beauty, history and culture. Famed for its university, it’s one of the UK’s best loved destinations for a city break. We’ve picked the best hotels for your stay with an option for all budgets.

The University Arms

A Cambridge institution, the University Arms Hotel is located in the city centre, on the edge of Parker’s Piece. Its grand façade and ornate and inviting interiors are thanks to renowned architect John Simpson and interior designer Martin Brudnizki. Luxury flows throughout – immaculate design with wooden doorways, shiny brass, historic fireplaces and buttery tan leather.

Rooms are comfortable and plush, but for an extra indulgence check-in to a suite with a terrace overlooking the park and free-standing bathtub. Parker’s Tavern, the hotel’s restaurant, is headed up by chef director Tristian Welch, who alongside a talented team, serve up British classics with an innovative twist.

Price: Room rates University Arms from £159 per room per night. Suites start from £419.
