Cambridge offers a wide range of bookshops to match its vast literary history.

Heffers celebrated 140 years of serving the city’s readers in 2016. Young readers will particularly enjoy the colourful Children’s at Heffers department at the rear of the store.

Haunted Books in St Edmund’s passage. This tiny store has a great supply of vintage children’s books from classic authors like Enid Blyton and Carolyn Keene.

G David’s, on the other side of the passage, is the best place for travel and history books, as well as the chance to stumble upon a rare first edition in the store’s antiquities department.
