We started life as a fifteen-room coaching inn on Parker's Piece in 1834; a resting stop for travellers on the long road down to London. A great deal has changed since: new wings, new decades, an £80 million rebuild behind the original facade. What hasn't changed is the address, or the number of years we've been keeping it. 192 of them, as of this year. So we've turned the number into a rate, rather than just a candle count.
University Arms Cambridge, re-created in 2018 by architect John Simpson and interior designer Martin Brudnizki, offers 189 rooms and suites across four floors, with views over Parker’s Piece, historic Regent Street, and the hotel’s inner courtyard.
